The Colfax Marathon

Inspired by some absolutely badass coworkers, I completed my first Marathon in Denver! I trained hard and was able to obtain was able to complete it 4:16h.

It was an absolute blast and I learned so much while training. How to eat while running, what to eat while running, come to think of it, fueling while running was the largest learning curve for me!

The Good!

  • I nearly reached my arbitrary goal of 4h

  • I legitimately had so much fun!

The Bad!

  • I didn’t yet have a good handle on how to use electrolytes and at mile 23 my body ran out of salt and started cramping aggressively. Since then I have got a handle on this and feel much better on runs!

 
 

This post-run meal was so good, I also want this as my final meal on earth if possible
